SAAC

Aiming to unify and achieve greater consistency inter-cycles in reference to the choice of users of Augmentative and Alternative Systems of Communication, the system to use and how to use it and develop helped to design the Action Plan with students SAAC users. Suffice to say that the PECS (Communication System for Image Exchange) applied to students with ASD, is included in the SAAC.

 

This program defines the theoretical foundation that follows the school toward alternative systems, establishes the procedure to start and expand a SAAC, offers strategies for interacting with those users, determines the criteria for making panels of communication and carries out structure time-space in the classroom.

 

To achieve this objective we use different levels of communication of our students, we design panels and communication materials adapted according to their needs, and we make use of support products that facilitate the access to communication and curriculum (big mack, articulated arm, joystick, switches, adapted toys, kidsbal, electric dice, gotalk communicator and super Talk, tablet …).
