Shared model

The model of shared education is a model that allows that the students who are enrolled in special school settings can live ordinary school contexts and the students who are enrolled in ordinary schools can receive the support of different professionals working in specific centers.

The specific center will be a reference to offer an adapted curriculum for the instrumental learning and the ordinary center will provide a normal space for their socialization process, which will enhance communication and relationships with other people. The combined stay in both educational environments should have a positive impact on their emotional stability.

The school has shared two modalities:

Students enrolled in the Special Education Centre (SEC) and attend regular part-time at the ordinary center.
Ordinary students are enrolled in the Center and attend part-time the center SEC.

Both modalities require coordination between the professionals of the two centers. In order to ensure coherence and complementarity of actions, it is necessary that these professionals, together with the EAP, specify through an individual plan the attention that has to be given to each student.
